It's Monday, What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by J. Kaye's Book Blog to discuss what we are reading this week, as well as books completed the previous week.
I've had a very messy and hectic life for last week. But I'm still alive now, considering I managed to finish all the task/works given by my supervisor. Of course, I didn't accomplish my goal to finish all the books I'd plan to read..A bit frustrating, really..It's like showing my inability to follow the schedule I already fix..Plus, I woke up a bit late today (even last night I was so happy about receiving my very 1st blog award)..Somehow, however, I just got a call from my Mom (really happy and I miss her a lot!), and for once,again, I'm all better, I'm revived from all the slow start for my Monday..Makes my day brighter ;p
So, the only book I managed to finish last week was;
1) A Painted House by John Grisham..
I love the book and hope you'll love the review on that one..I 'll be reading another two books (I plan to read as much as I can like 2/3 books a week) This week I'm planning to read (and finish);
1) The Eleventh Commandment by Jeffrey Archer (currently I'm reading)
2) Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson (to be read) - I really plan to read this. The Royal Review blog pointed out this book yesterday and really made me eager to read this =p
I read only a book last week.Really frustrating. I thought at least I can read and finish 2 books. So that is why I told you that I am a slow reader, compared to others who reads more ={
Next time, really, after I graduated, I really gonna read more!*wink2*
So, what are you reading this week?

I haven't read a Jeffrey Archer book in a while but I do have one sitting on my book shelf unread, must get to it. I really think you'll love Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, make sure you've got a box of tissues handy. Well have a great week and I'm off to read your review! PS Thanks for the lovely comments you left on my blog, I really appreciate them!
ReplyDeleteHi Darlyn!
ReplyDeleteSeriously speaking, I have never ever heard of the book Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas until I came upon the title on Royal Reviews as well as on your site. I'm really going to wait for your review on this one =)
Hope that this week will be better for you, in term of reading, research, thesis and everything that runs in between.
Cheers!
I just started the Puzzle Ring :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting list of books! I have "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" on my TBR pile, and incidentally, I'm watching the movie on TV. I recorded it from Lifetime.
ReplyDeleteI also have The Painted House, but for some reason, just couldn't get into it. I'm sure I'll tackle it again!
I'd rather take my time and enjoy books than breeze through them. Technically I only "read" one book last week since one of the books I read was just a graphic novel with more pictures than words and the other I listened to in the car as opposed to actually reading.
ReplyDeleteI read A Painted House a few years ago - liked it. Hallmark made the movie version.
ReplyDeletei'm a one book a week (maybe 2 on a good week) kind of girl too. i don't know how other readers manage to read so many! :) happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI only manage about 1 book a week. I get jealous of those that have the time to read more! LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great reading week this week! Here's mine: http://ruthiesbookreviews.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-monday-what-are-you-reading_25.html
Thanks for visiting my blog! Glad you liked my header. Emma is my dad and stepmom's dog and she will let you dress her in absolutely anything. She was a support dog and went through all the training but was released because she was a little skittish about something - I can't remember what. The picture cracked me up when they sent it to me so I thought it would be perfect for my blog.
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for visiting! I've become a Follower, too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! As for Naruto...when I bought those particular volumes that I read last week, the cashier at the bookstore actually commented about them too. She said that I was the first girl she'd ever seen buy them. I told her that I've watched the show with my husband since it started playing in the U.S. and now we're both so addicted to it that we actually watch the Japanese versions as soon as they're subbed in English. We've been watching the Shippuuden each Thursday right after they show in Japan. So cool! I'm glad I'm not the only girl I know that reads manga anymore!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week!

ReplyDelete@ Shy = thanks Shy! i really need the support. a lot of things going on lately in my life and sometime it cracking up my head..*sigh*
@ Laurel = Yeah, i think it's depend on the readers.. some reviews i read about the painted house were not really amusing but it's great to try some new genre =p
ReplyDelete@ Ruth = thank you for stopping by..that's really make two of us..i cant really read more than 3 books a week..but normally, 1 is hardly enough..
@ Lynne= She's sure a lovable dog..pets can be so cute and hardly to ignore..thanks for visiting my blog too..will stop by at your blog regularly later.. =p

ReplyDeleteI love Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas & Alaine's right, get the tissues ready!
ReplyDeleteI only read a book or 2 a week when life is settled, but when life is chaotic, which it often is LOL, I'm flat out reading anything. So just enjoy what you have time for :-)
Yes, I've had those weeks a few times. I really don't like when life gets in the way of my reading.

ReplyDeleteHey Darlyn! Sounds like you had a busy and hectic week. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. I really want to read Suzanne's Diary. I hope it's good, it looks so cute! I also read slower than I'd like to. A lot of weeks, especially when school is in session, I only read 1 book a week. It is frustrating! So don't feel bad, you are not alone in that! Have a happy week! :)
ReplyDelete@ Steph= Thanks Steph. I really appreciate that. Honestly, i appreciate it a lot. need a lot of comfort from everyone.. =) BUt anyway, I also hope for the best week for you.I know how school can be..*sigh*

ReplyDeleteI think Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas is the only Patterson book I've read, and oh wow did it make me sob.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a much less hectic week, with more time for things that are important - like reading!
Here's what I'm reading.
@ Alita= Thanks Alita, and i'm so looking forward to read the book..soon..
